June 1993 - Irving Speaks. This has to be one of single strangest comics I ever wrote, and to be honest, I did it about three hours before it was time to turn it it. This really doesn't explain a damned thing. If anything, the third installment prolly just veered wary readers into the very strange world of "talking meat products gone horribly wrong." And yet people love the big lug. He's even been in some fan art. It's gotta be those cute nonattached eyes. A strange little note about this episode. In the panel saying "Allyson, wriggle your toe and get me that brick!" my minds eye has the redhead saying it. In these versions, the redhead is Allyson. I'm almost SURE this was the first sign that my characters were trying to switch their names around, to what they are now. |
